Dear Joseph, Do you know the parable of the Good Samaritan? A man walking on a road is robbed and left for dead. It takes two men to pass him before a third man finally helps. He is a true neighbor – a Good Samaritan. By donating just $15, you can help us get Good Samaritan laws passed in the remaining 15 states that don’t have them. Today “Good Samaritan” laws offer legal protections to people that help those who are in danger. This is essential when someone passes out from drinking alcohol or overdoses on drugs. Given the opioid and heroin epidemic ravaging our communities, each state should have these laws in place.
Here are some additional ways you can help:
Thank you for your support! We will continue to keep you updated when the remaining states pass Good Samaritan laws. Sincerely, The Advocacy Team Partnership for Drug-Free Kids | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Good morning everyone as we get into April our sponsorship campaign for this year's Music Fest is in Full swing. We have a great lineup this year including The Katinas. Please consider forwarding the sponsor pack or printing it out to give to any potential sponsors for this year's Music Fest. We will be making calls beginning next week to our last year's sponsors. We need all the help we can get this year as we continue to grow this life-changing event. If you need physical sponsor packs we do have them available please let me know I can drop as many as you would like off at your location. There are also Bi-fold Music Fest cards now available and will be at the April 9th Coffee House to begin to spread the word. This may seem early to you with the event in September but this is the most important time to plug away for sponsorship to help pay for this event. Any questions please feel free to give me a call and thank you so much for your time in service to the Kingdom of God!! Also Music Fest website is prepared and ready. Sponsor forms are also available there. Facebook event page will be created soon!

Advanced Screening of New Partnership Documentary at Google Earlier this month, we co-hosted an advanced screening of our new documentary, BREAKING POINTS, with Google at their headquarters in Mountain View, California. The film explores the stress and pressure teens face every day, and the unhealthy ways they cope. BREAKING POINTS will formally launch this April and will be available for download ondrugfree.org. Read more about our March screening > Help Get the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act Passed The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) recently passed in the Senate with a vote of 94-1! While this is an important milestone, the bill moves to the House of Representatives and we need to keep the pressure on. On the House side, Representatives Frank Guinta (R-NH), Ann Kuster (D-NH), Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and Donald Norcross (D-NJ) began circulating a sign-on letter in support of CARA appropriations, encouraging their colleagues to sign on to provide resources for CARA in FY 2017.
