Faith in Recovery is a Christ-centered, faith-based recovery and dual diagnosis program that uses a non-denominational approach to addiction treatment. AEC CARES

AEC Cares Renovation Project

Last week the American Institute of Architects (AIA) invested $50,000 for the renovation of our 4th-floor residential hall through their AEC Cares initiative. Our 4th floor is the home to up to 36 men in our transitional housing program. The plans for the renovation were done by the Community Design Collaborative, who identified the volunteer design team with ConstructConnect and led the 84 team members through the renovation. New updates from the renovation include a new ceiling, floors, furniture, paint, window treatments, and a lighting system.
Thank you to AEC Cares and everyone involved who came together to make these beautiful renovations happen, we are so grateful!

Prepare a Plate

Prepare a Plate

Each year we hold a fundraiser to raise money to ensure that our community can come together and have a place at the Mission's table on Thanksgiving. Last year, thanks to dedicated supporters, donors, and volunteers, we quickly adapted how we serve our Thanksgiving meal due to COVID-19 and still served delicious holiday meals to as many people as possible.
While COVID-19 is continuing to impact daily life, we are eager to provide another Thanksgiving celebration this fall because of your dedication and support.
No amount of time or resources is too much to ensure that anyone in need in Philadelphia has the opportunity to come together and have a chair at the table on Thanksgiving. Donate today or start a fundraiser to help provide a hot meal, a celebratory atmosphere, and a release valve, to the hungry, homeless, and hurting.

David

David arrived at Sunday Breakfast in February 2020.  He came to the Mission worried and anxious about his future and what would come next in his life.  Ten months later in December 2020, David had transformed from a man filled with worry to one who stood firmly on his identity in Christ.

Joseph

All Joseph knows is that his father was an alcoholic, and he is too. In fact, it killed his dad.  His death was tough on Joseph, and his mother, too. It wasn’t too long after that she gave Joseph to his aunt to raise – at about age 6. “My aunt took me in until she died of cancer when I was 16. I’ve been on my own ever since.”
