WFS Online Forum Redesign!
We are planning to make improvements to the WFS Forum.

Will you help us?
Please join us in creating an
improved online experience!

It has been a long time since the WFS Forum has been updated, and 2017 is the year to do it. In addition to getting a much needed "makeover," the Forum Categories will be restructured to be more user-friendly. In order to do this, we want to hear the thoughts and opinions of all our members.

Your input is valuable to us!

We have created a survey that will help guide us in the direction of changes YOU feel are most meaningful and helpful.

Your timely response would be greatly appreciated and all responses are completely anonymous should you choose to participate.  Thank you for helping us!

Incarceration Is Not Treatment | The Fix

Incarceration Is Not Treatment | The Fix: We have 50 years of evidence that cracking down on border patrol or threatening the countries that supply illegal drugs doesn’t curb drug supply.

Why Aren't There More Resources for Adult Self-Injurers? | The Fix

Why Aren't There More Resources for Adult Self-Injurers? | The Fix: Over time, self-injury itself can become a habitual, nearly addictive behavior, and 8.7 percent of self-injurers are also addicts.

Tough Love Doesn't Work: A New Approach to Helping Addicts | The Fix

Tough Love Doesn't Work: A New Approach to Helping Addicts | The Fix: Instead, professionals suggest setting boundaries and asking questions like 'What do I need to do in order to support my own self-care and help my addicted child?' 'What do I need to achieve in order to feel safe in my environment?'
It's time for the most important spring cleaning you can do—inside your medicine cabinet.
Two-thirds of teens who report abuse of prescription medicine are getting them from friends, family and acquaintances. Be sure to safeguard your home, so the teens in your life don’t have access to your medicine.
Follow these three steps to find out how to monitor, secure and properly dispose of unused and expired prescription drugs and over-the-counter cough medicine in your home:

Loved by God

I grew up with five siblings, and there was almost no love in our household.  My parents fought constantly, and we all suffered verbal and physical abuse from my father.
I grew up being blamed for everything and told I was worthless.  I was an easy target at school, and was often picked on.
Even though we went to church, God was just an idea to me.  I'd always been told I was worthless, and I'd never known the love of a father.  These things spoke louder than anything I'd heard about God.

Healing in the Context of Community

Do you have a heart to minister to people struggling with addiction, eating disorders, trauma, and other life-controlling behaviors?
Our HCC course will give you a glimpse into who we are and our philosophy of ministry.  You will experience how honesty and vulnerability promote an environment of healing and transformation, and you will interact with those who are currently seeking God's restoration at His Mansion.
