What's Happened This August at Sunday Breakfast

Inviting Those We Serve to God's Community

Baptisms are just one part of the spiritual care our community receives when they come to Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission. Our family here will support you throughout your entire spiritual journey.

1,000 Cranes

According to Japanese tradition, it is said that folding 1,000 cranes will make one special wish come true. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the Wilma Theater for a new art installation in our space. Follow our social pages for updates and to get a sneak peek!

Welcome Caroline Allen!

Our team at Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission is proud to welcome Caroline Allen to our family as our new Major Gift Officer.
“I am thrilled and humbled to join Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, an organization that has combated homelessness since 1878 by not only providing shelter for those in need, but by giving individuals the faith, hope, love and resources to build a lifetime of success for themselves. I could not be more excited to be a part of this legacy of impact and innovation as we address one of the most urgent issues facing Philadelphia.”
Meet Caroline!

Whether people are reaching out for help for their addiction for the first time or the sixth, we know it isn't easy. As peer coaches, we've been there.

That's why we try to make the process as straightforward and reassuring as possible. Our goal is to provide comfort and affirm their decision to seek help.

We stand with those impacted by overdose

International Overdose Awareness Day
August 31, 2020

International Overdose Awareness Day

Today, we stand in support of all those who have felt the devastating impacts of overdose.

We stand with families and friends mourning a loss. We stand with survivors working to rebuild. We stand with the individuals carrying and distributing naloxone to keep their communities safe.

Together, we can transform our nation, prevent overdose deaths, and end the stigma that surrounds addiction.
