The power of relationships

Trauma, healing and recovery: The power of relationships

In the past, Lindzey relied on drugs to avoid her emotions and the trauma she's experienced.

"My whole family goes straight to substances," she said. "I'm not used to dealing with my emotions. For years, I never let myself experience them."

With coaching, trauma therapy and journaling, Roule utilizes a range of tools to further her recovery.

Drug abuse and addiction is a problem that many countries are trying to resolve. According to the World Health Organization, it is estimated that 255 million people used drugs like opioids, cocaine, cannabis, and amphetamines in 2015 alone. That means that the annual prevalence of illegal drug use is 5.3%. That being said, it is impossible to go to a country where there is no drug addiction. The good news is, no matter who you are or where you are in the world, you have the option to recover. We’re going to talk about drug use trends in the Americas.
The first step to diagnosing addiction in someone is to understand and recognize the signs associated with it. For you to help your family members, friends, relatives, or someone who you think might be a victim of addiction, it is crucial to develop an understanding of how addiction changes an individual’s behavioral, physical, and mental aspects. Let’s look into all of them.

On April 7, 2020 Scottsdale Recovery Center was featured on FOX 10 (Phoenix) about the newly launched Telehealth Services for addiction recovery. The services include one-on-one sessions or group therapy sessions.
