What is Telehealth and How Can NAADAC Help?
Nominations are
 open
Telehealth is the use of electronic information and telecommunication technologies such as video conferencing and mobile health services to support long-distance clinical health care. During this time of crisis, the federal government has temporarily expanded Medicare coverage to include coverage for telehealth. Please go to the COVID-19 Resources page on the NAADAC website for information.

To help you provide your services to your clients remotely, NAADAC has partnered with two telehealth organizations: Clocktree Systems Inc. and Telebehavioral Health Institute (TBHI).

Clocktree Systems Inc. is an affordable, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform designed for healthcare and wellness providers looking for a way to offer video consultations and manage client records remotely. NAADAC members can try Clocktree for FREE for 90 days, then select the plan that's right for you - and receive a 15% discount on all plans for the life of your NAADAC Membership

Telebehavioral Health Institute, Inc. provides evidence-based telehealth training and certification. NAADAC and TBHI will be providing a webinar on March 31, 2020 to help practitioners know what they need to do to utilize telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stay tuned for more information.
We are actively working to provide more guidance and resources regarding telehealth and will continue to share them as they become available.

NAADAC Staff Update
NAADAC continues to place the highest priority on the health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff, while protecting the continuity of programs and essential functions. To that end, NAADAC is transitioning to encourage the majority of our employees to work remotely and advising those in the office to take precautions and extra measures to prevent the spread of germs and employ social distancing tactics. We are logistically preparing for our staff to be entirely remote in the days and weeks to come based on the best information available to us. We have also issued enhanced workplace policies that will be revised regularly as the situation develops.

We want to support each one of you and those you serve as we all navigate our way through this. Together, we can, and do, make a difference!

Supporting Parents' mental health to better support their family's mental health

We, at RPLYT, are committed to supporting our Community throughout the
COVID-19 Pandemic.

We understand that during this time, parents need to be supported even more than ever.

With that, we are offering a free ONLINE Parent Support Group to any parent who needs support.
Charlotte & Robyn
Please pass this email onto parents or caregivers who might benefit from our support.
We are here to help.
This is peer led support group. This is not counselling.

This is a peer lead support group by parents with lived experience raising children with mental health concerns. At RPLYT we know how important it is to nurture your own mental health during stressful times.

You can log into Zoom on your computer or your phone. You can interact with the facilitator and group members or just listen. It is whatever you are comfortable with. We are all here to support you on your journey of mental health.
Today parents are dealing with anxiety and extreme stress due to COVID-19. Many parents of children/teens who struggle with mental health concerns may be entering these difficult times with battle fatigue. Children and teens react to the behaviours and energy from the adults around them. As parents it is important to keep our own mental wellness in check to keep our homes and families in good health.

At RPLYT we like to call this a parallel process.

Please join us for a Free ONLINE Parent Support Group

Wednesday Evenings from 7:00-8:30pm CDT

This will be an hour and a half facilitator lead support for Parents via Zoom

Facilitated by Kirsten Drybrough and Charlotte Sytnyk

Kirsten and Charlotte have been facilitating groups for over 5 years. They now train future facilitators of groups in health organizations, schools and parents.
Charlotte Sytnyk

Charlotte believes whole heartedly in Peer Support and its role in Mental Wellness.

Kirsten Drybrough
the Ambassador of Advocacy and Parent Support at RPLYT

Kirsten is known for having a calm and gentle demeanor but don't let this fool you, she is a powerful mental health advocate for Canadian adolescents.

It is through her personal journey that she has created significant change in government policy regarding mental health and adolescents, allowing young people who need help, to obtain the funds necessary to get the treatment they so desperately need.

Kirsten believes that we all must "own our story'" and that shame should never follow a mental health struggle. Through her experience raising two beautiful daughters, alongside her husband Keith, she has earned a wealth of knowledge to share with other parents.

NOTICE: Mariners Inn's Golf Outing Going Virtual

Mariners Inn Friends & Supporters,

We recognize the complexity of what the world is facing right now, and we want to do our part to remain as careful as we can with all of you in mind. With that being said, we're writing to let you know we've moved our annual Tee Off for Recovery Golf Outing (which was set for June 5, 2020) virtual. Although we'd certainly love to see you, we feel it best to not proceed as usual since these times are anything but usual. This is the right decision for all the right reasons.

Tee Off for Recovery is a way to gather our friends for a day of golf and camaraderie. We take time to thank our new and longtime supporters, who help us continue to provide services to men and families who have been affected by the disease of addiction. Our golf outing is our second largest fundraiser of the year, and even though we won't be on the golf course, the need for your generous support will still be there. You can still participate by selecting sponsorships and admission tickets. Each year we serve over 700 men and so many of them work through their recovery and reunite with their families, all because of your compassion and support. Simply put, we can't do this without you.

Will you donate to Mariners Inn today via our Virtual Tee off For Recovery? <https://events.readysetauction.com/marinersinn/teeoff20>

We have been so fortunate to build a community of wonderful supporters and we cannot thank you enough for being part of that.

Sending strength and light to everyone during these trying times,

Erica Rakowicz
Director of Fund Development & Marketing
