News from Shores of Grace!

This year, 43 students joined us for “The furnace” school. We are once again looking back at an amazing time with new friends from all over Brazil. The students were great and we are looking forward to hearing what they have been up to now that they have returned home. At the end of the school, we took 15 students with us to visit another associated mission base in the Sertao. While we had healings and miracles happen, what really marked our hearts was not the signs and wonders, but the simplicity of love these people have. Even though they have basic needs for  food or health, the only thing they wanted us to pray for is to experience more of God’s love in their lives. The warm welcome and intensity of the love and worship completely overwhelmed our students and staff. Coming back from this outreach our participating staff felt renewed and grateful for an incredible time in the Sertao. We are happy to share that we got to visit the new Vila Betania with our girls for the first time. The fact that the girls got to be a part of this process really signifies what our loving family looks like. First dreaming and now building a new home and safe place for our family is an incredible blessing. We are hopeful and excited to continue this story of how Vila Betania can be the loving home most of the girls never had. With this new step, we hope to set these girls up for a bright future living as Daughters of the Kingdom. Something else we have been working on is our new home base. The shipping containers for our offices arrived and we are getting ready to move in! Over the years, we grew out of our old base and all of our activities started to affect the residential area surrounding us. This is why we are happy to have a new facility to grow even further in what God has for us and the people in Recife. This building creates so many opportunities to facilitate our activities. We will use the space to train local pastors and churches and equip them. Furthermore, we will see increased teamwork with all the offices in the same location. Back to school! In Brazil, we are in the middle of the back to school time of the year. While for some students this can be a very exciting time, for others it can be quite challenging since they do not have the supplies they need for school. We can all  understand that sufficient materials are necessary for a good education. With the support of donors like you we were able to supply 30+ children with notebooks, pens, and highlighters. We are grateful to be a part of the education and future of these children!  A better mode of transportation for our ministries in Recife as our Kombi has gotten old and continues to frequent the mechanic Over the purpose and the continued construction of the new base building in Recife  Local volunteers to be raised up to continue the work that is plenty  Students of the Furnace as they return home and continue the work of the Kingdom in their own environments Team retreat this weekend as to reconnect with one another and go deeper into the Father's love We'd love to hear from you!
