Matthew 7:3-5 — "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."(GODS BIG BOOK)
Honesty with self first is a great start but it dosen' t qualify you to counsel others in anyway. Why is it so hard for us to recognize our shortcomings but we are experts on everyone elses ! Pointing out others mistakes and failures and then giving them our unwanted opinion on how to fix them will only build a wall between you and them. Especially if you have the same defects that are undealt with.Another words its like a thief telling another thief not to steal. Take a long hard look in the Mirror dig real deep and make your heart right with God yourself and then others.Stop trying to fix everyone and fix yourself.
