The real objection is that Narcan access for laypeople--especially drug users--allows them to save lives without the cessation of drug use as a requirement.

COMMENT OF THE WEEK
Much Ado

This week, Tessie Castillo busted some "fake news" that reported people are getting together, intentionally overdosing and then reviving each other with Narcan. Readers commented that this sort of mass-marketed hysteria is counter productive.

Terrific article laying bare one of societies ongoing hypocrisies! Thank you for pointing out positive changes that we all can choose to make Ms. Castillo!
One point I'd like to add is that the 'fake news' that the prejudices against drug users produces are all made without first hand accounts thus rendering them shoddy journalism as well as consuming resources and creating hysteria which prevents those resources going to truly effective actions. The US needs less blaming and hating and more thoughtful and proven actions around drug use...

11-10-17 TWELVE STEPPING WITH SUPPORT FROM SCRIPTURE

Psalm 107v20 -He sent out His word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.

Step 2: Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

Every issue in life is mentioned in His word the Bible. We run everywhere else for the answers and never find the right solution. God is Here and He has a book written about your life but it's not going to do you any good if you don't pick it up and study it. Buy a Tyndale life Recovery Bible NLT version. It has the Twelve steps added to it.Not only are all the answers and solutions there, but the words in the book are active which means they will actually change your life permanently. Spend your days praying reading and seeking and you will not only find God you will find so much more.

Numbers 23 v19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
