Last year we hosted the largest Recovery Month Event in the world. Thanks to our presenting sponsor, Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS), and many others, there were over 25,000 participants.  Those walking for recovery included dignitaries from the city, surrounding counties and state and Michael Botticelli, Director of National Drug Control Policy at the White House.   The entertainment included the Mummers, Super Heroes and Heroines, the Recovery Idol finalist selection, Doug Lyon & The Zone and wrapping up with the mayor of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter, dropping the mic with a rendition of "Rapper's Delight." That was last year.  This year will be even bigger!  An event this size requires a lot volunteers, time and planning.
