2018 Call for Poster Presentations

NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, invites you to submit a poster presentation proposal to display at the 2018 Annual Conference: Shoot For The Stars, being held from October 5-9, 2018 in Houston, TX. Posters will be on display during Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th with presentations taking place on October 6th.

Submissions

NAADAC members and non-members are invited to submit poster presentation proposals for display at the Annual Conference. NAADAC encourages young investigators, researchers, and addiction and co-occurring professionals from diverse organizations and fields to submit.

Presentation Tracks & Topics

Practice Management, Co-occurring Disorders, Pharmacotherapy, Clinical Skills, Cultural Humility, Process Addictions, Recovery Support, Education/INCASE, and Peer Recovery.


Presenter Eligibility

To be considered, presenters must have professional qualifications in good standing with their professional regulatory board, if applicable, and possess the technical expertise necessary to present on a subject effectively.

3-Hour NADD Pre-Conference Presentation:

DBT Skill Building & Emotion Regulation

On October 31st, 2018 from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm, Dr. Brown will chair a session that will describe how Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies are used to help individuals with dual-diagnosis improve emotional regulation skills. Participants will learn DBT concepts/take-homes that can immediately inform current practices. Additionally, teams from the US and abroad will describe their DBT-based skills programs designed to treat this population.
