The Fourth of July, aka Independence Day, is the annual celebration of nationhood. It commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which declared that the 13 Colonies were no longer under British rule. This monumental moment was the first step to forming the country we are now proud to call the United States of America. Homelessness Prevention Programs Since July of last year, Talbert House has assisted 383 households to avoid eviction through the Rental Assistance Program.
