Virtual Fatherhood Week

The Talbert House Fatherhood Project assists men in their efforts to be responsible, committed and nurturing fathers. After making the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Fatherhood Community Celebration, we created Fatherhood Week. This week long virtual celebration of fathers, includes fun, interactive and educational activities for fathers and their families. All events are FREE and you can win prizes during each event/activity. FATHERHOOD WEEK WEBPAGE Send a Father's Day Card! Recognize the father or father figure who has made a difference in your life or a Fatherhood graduate/client by making a donation to the Fatherhood Project. We will send a Father's Day card to notify them a donation has been made in their honor. DONATE CALENDAR OF EVENTS MONDAY June 15 Draw and submit a picture of your father, grandfather or father-figure to jenna.toon@talberthouse.org by 5PM on June 18. We will post them on our Facebook page on Friday and the one with the most likes by 5PM Father's Day wins a prize. ENTER TO WIN - The picture with the most likes wins (2) Dave & Busters Power Cards DOWNLOAD COLORING SHEET TUESDAY June 16 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM Zoom - Register via link below Join us with your dad, family or friends and test your knowledge about famous fathers from sports, TV, and more. There will be 2 halves with 10 questions each. Winners will be awarded prizes at the end of each half. At the end of both halves, the team with the most points overall will also win a prize. ENTER TO WIN - Play for a chance to win a Skyline or LaRosa's gift card  REGISTER WEDNESDAY June 17 Noon Live on Melodic Connections' Facebook Melodic Connections provides music therapy and music-based opportunities for people of all abilities, including fathers in the Fatherhood Project. Anyone remember "Down by the Bay"? Should any child know AC/DC as well as their parents do? Join James Stephenson and Nathan Lewis, fathers and members of the Melodic Connections team for a music party. Sing and play with them and their children as they travel through time, reminiscing about songs from their past. This is best suited for children ages 7-12. Harold has over 16 years of experience working with fathers. One of the programs he oversees is the Fatherhood Project. Harold is also the current President of the Ohio Practitioners Network for Fathers and Families. Participants in this discussion will take a journey into capturing and exploring their unique history, experiences, values and attitudes that have molded their parenting style. Participants will be introduced to nurturing practices that can assist in enhancing the development and growth of the children they care for.
