Mechelle Wilder is one of Birmingham's busiest professionals, but for more than seven years she's been donating her time weekly to the Discovery Clubs program at Hudson School. Learn more about our September Volunteer of the Month by clicking on the link below.
Publix Super Markets Charities recently donated $20,000 to the Mission as part of its efforts to promote hunger relief in communities throughout the southeast. That generosity will translate into more than 10,000 hot meals for the homeless and hurting in the Birmingham area. Learn more about this gift and other ways Publix has partnered with the Mission by clicking on the link below.
Nnday Byrd, a former Jessie's Place client, received a 2002 Acura MDX thanks to the Mission's partnership with non-profit startup Driving Hope. Learn more about Byrd's story and what this new charity is doing to help those in need by clicking on the link below.
The Mission's upcoming job fair is a great opportunity for local business and churches to meet more than 150 individuals from nine different Birmingham-area ministries and organizations. Applicants have expressed particular interest in construction, hospitality, events, food service, and janitorial positions. Vendor space is limited, so contact Vanessa Sanders today for more information.
