Soberlink Healthcare, the leader in remote alcohol monitoring technology, has partnered with the IHAT Institute! Together, they will study the outcomes of clients with alcohol use disorder using Soberlink monitoring with In-Home Addiction Treatment.
The Soberlink/IHATI study launched on April 1st of this year, wherein 50 individuals will be treated by the In-Home Addiction Treatment model at Aware Recovery Care using the Soberlink device. In this Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved study, clients will use Soberlink for a 6-month period at a minimum of twice per day. The goal of the study is to document outcomes based on compliance with remote alcohol testing, recidivism, and quality of life surveys.
The Soberlink device utilizes facial recognition technology and sends real-time results to the client's care team when a test is missed or a positive test is submitted. Care teams are able to inform community providers and support systems and provide additional supports. This data is designed to improve clinical outcomes and manage financial risk by facilitating early interventions and other means of mitigating recidivism as well as other costly treatment episodes.
