TWELVE STEPPING WITH SUPPORT FROM SCRIPTURE

Genesis 6 v 5 - And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (GODS BIG BOOK)

Step 3 Made a decision to turn our will and lives over to the care of God. (AA BIG BOOK)

Throughout Gods Big Book (Bible) there is no specific mention of mental illness and all the different types of conditions we get labeled within the treatment realm. Many say the mental health system is broken in America. What if we addressed mental illness and addiction from Gods perspective.for instance, the Scripture mentions evil thoughts come from the heart and not our heads. So if this is true, which I believe it is as do so many others why are we not reshaping the mental health system based on this fact.We need to do something different when it comes to Addressing mental health in America. First and foremost, let us start fixing the Heart. Really think on that, when we are really sad and down in the dumps suffocating in a sea of despair it's our Heart that aches, not our Heads. Let us stop the Labeling and medicating of our pains and hurts and do what the Twelve Steps truly teach us to do.Pray , trust, surrender and let God do the transforming work, because who knows us better than we do.God does! He created us and our Hearts! He calls us His Sons and Daughters! He wants us to have the best possible Life ever filled with peace, love, joy, and Harmony. Mental Health and Addiction are a lie perpetuated by man to keep us enslaved. underpowered ,and separated from the one who truly Loves us and that is God.
