What is pay for performance or value based incentive/payment? Do we oversell treatment while we under perform? Can we show cost benefit and value in our services? Is our care integrated with physical health, behavioral health, housing, jobs and recovery support? How should we cost our services. Should we warrant our services? Join Mr. Harle on Monday, January 30 as he answers these questions and sheds light on other challenges facing our industry. He will be addressing the top three issues AXIS attendees have vocalized are of most concern: changes in reimbursement and insurance; ethics, declining industry standards, and marketing; and lastly outcomes and overall quality. This presentation will highlight lessons learned from a large publicly/privately funded non-profit organization. It will emphasize a process moving from program funding, private pay and fee-for-service models to performance/outcome-based reimbursement models. We will explore the possibility of population based cost benefit models in an environment driven by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Parity act, Federal, State insurance law, and healthcare integration during a major opioid epidemic.
