Hours left to make 2X the impact ⏰

Double your impact. Please make your gift today.
Dear Joseph,

Today is your last chance to give and have your donation help twice as many families in need of healing. Please take a minute to make your donation because all gifts made before midnight will be matched dollar for dollar.

My wife and I know firsthand the agony and fear of having a child who is struggling with addiction. When our son struggled with substance use, we were overcome with hopelessness. We did not know what to do or where to turn for answers. But families do not have the face this journey alone. I am proud to be vice chair of an organization that fills this gap and provides free resources and tools to help families heal.
What your dollars do
Your gift will make 2X the impact today, helping ensure parents and caregivers know where to turn for answers and support. Because of donors like you, our peer-to-peer Parent Coaches and Helpline Specialists are standing by, ready to listen and create an action plan for families who may feel alone in their efforts to help save their child who is struggling with addiction.

Our son is now in long-term recovery, a reality my wife and I felt at times would never come. Don’t delay and make your matched donation so other families may find hope and healing.

We look forward to working together to empower even more for families in the new year.

Sincerely,

Mike White

Last chance to give in 2019!

CITYTEAM. Igniting Hope. Restoring Lives.

Just hours left...

LAST CHANCE to give!

Dear Joseph,
Happy New Year! I wish you and those close to you all the best in 2020.
This is my final opportunity to connect with you in 2019 about one more gift to CityTeam to provide as many of our neighbors in need as possible with meals, shelter, and other critical help.
To encourage your gift by the deadline at midnight tonight, a special year-end Challenge Grant will DOUBLE the impact of all gifts, up to a total of $250,000. So please give now.
If you’ve already given, thank you so much! But if you haven’t yet, here’s one last chance to double your year-end impact.
Thank you for giving generously. God bless you. And, again, Happy New Year!

Holiday discoveries

While the holidays are a time of great fun for many,
they may also be a time of discovery for others.

Maybe you discovered that your new partner isn't who you thought they were - when you didn't react the way he wanted you to over his gift - he screamed and yelled at you. You hadn't seen him like that before.

Maybe you discovered that your sister's new partner makes you very uncomfortable and you noticed that she's changed too.

Maybe your neighbors new partner grabbed her arm - he was ready to leave and she wasn't - but he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Maybe you're left with not knowing what to do.

House of Ruth Maryland is here for you too.

Our 24-hour hotline (410-889-7884) is available for anyone who needs help with issues of intimate partner violence.

  • How to get help for yourself
  • How to support a co-worker, friend, family member
  • How to learn more about intimate partner violence and what you can do to stop it.
Your support today makes sure that we're always here to help victims and to give bystanders the tools they need to support victims.

Help MDC Ring in the New Year!

Make your 2019 tax-deductible gift today!
As this year comes to a close, we remember the many families in our community who will be ringing in the new year without their loved one. Sadly, the substance misuse epidemic has a tight grip on our community. Too many lives have been taken and too many families have been torn apart.

But in the midst of this epidemic, your support can bring hope and healing to those struggling with addiction and help prevent someone from ever using drugs or alcohol.
2020 will be challenging, yet exciting. We are looking forward to continuing to grow in both expanded partnerships and participation in our initiatives in the coming year. We are honored to be able to serve our community and to work with so many committed leaders and volunteers.
SUPPORT THE GATEWAY

In 2020, MDC will be starting the renovations, as funding is secured, for The Gateway community center, in hopes to open our doors by late 2020. The center will enhance the connection between existing treatment resources and recovery support services while providing a centralized location to coordinate access to services based on an individuals’ specific needs. It will provide support services for people experiencing both short- and long-term recovery from substance use disorders. MDC strongly believes this center is the key to unlocking our community’s endless possibilities to provide hope and healing to individuals and families. 2x the impact ‼ Give Now

Join the matching challenge.

People in our community need meals and shelter, freedom from addictions and guidance to rebuild broken lives… and there isn’t much time before this year ends.

That’s why our Board of Directors has offered a year-end challenge:
match their $75,000 with an additional $75,000 by midnight on 12/31.

That’s a total of $150,000 to provide help at this critical time!

Because of our matching challenge, your gift today will have DOUBLE the impact. Hot meals for hungry people. Clean beds and shelter for those who are hurting and homeless. Care and recovery for addicted men and women who feel desperate and hopeless.

Please give whatever you can before 12/31 to double your help.

Please act quickly!
Give the most generous gift you can to double an impact on your community's hungry, addicted and homeless.

Thank you!
