FacebookLinkedInTwitter
Wed, December 12, 2018 @ 3:00 - 4:30 pm ET
(2 CT/1 MT/12 PT)

Join Julie Owens, Certified Domestic Violence Counselor, for this free NAADAC webinar, which will discuss the multiple vulnerabilities individuals with substance use disorder can suffer from. Clients have often experienced traumas, including domestic violence or sexual assault, which can result in depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Some have pre-existing conditions, while others develop them as a result of the traumas. This session will discuss overlapping concerns and hope to address them in partnership with victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Ask the US Senate to Form an Addiction Caucus
FacebookLinkedInTwitter
One in three families are directly impacted by addiction. Nine out of ten in need of treatment don’t receive it. Addiction costs our economy $442 billion a year. These facts have led to major legislation being passed and signed into law over the past several years, such as the Comprehensive Addiction & Recovery Act, the 21 Century Cures Bill and most recently the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act.

Each of these bills represents a step forward, but there is still so much work to be done. NAADAC joins with Facing Addiction with NCADD in asking you to urge YOUR Senators to form an Addiction Caucus to focus on these critical issues. Please take a moment and sign the Facing Addiction with NCADD letter today to ask your Senator to both form and join an Addiction Caucus. The letters will be automatically delivered to your Senators’ offices before the next Congress begins in 2019.

The single most significant thing we can all do is to continue to speak out. Use your voice to urge your own Senators to help form and join a Senate Caucus on Addiction.
